I had the awesome privilege of being able to share the word at our church this past Sunday. My message was a result of spending most of this year asking God to teach me about submission. What I discovered has totally blown me away and I hope what I shared impacted people as much as it impacted me! In a nutshell, I highlighted the different sorts of submission from the Bible and tried my best to explain what exactly submission is. This message also forms a part of a chapter on submission in my book, Esther or Delilah, which is coming out next year. In the meantime, have a listen to the message here.
"There was a time when all I wanted was to die but now that I have tasted life I really don’t want to die until I have truly lived!" Hope's Journey is a heart wrenching account of Angela's struggle with depression and suicide. "This book is helpful for people that are going through tough times as well for those who are trying to support them. It gives valuable insight into the feelings experienced in the midst of the situations as well as the tools Angela used to find her way through them. The tools are useful for anyone trying to find hope in dark situations, whatever they may be, and are helpful for leading a stronger, more balanced life." Submission - a word a lot of us women don't like I think! I know I don't! Has been very helpful for me to fully understand the concept of submission without immediately associating it with being a 'pushover'! I will be looking at this word in a new light now and applying it to my life and relationships :)
