GO!

This past Saturday I had the honour of preaching at the Alabaster Women's Conference in Leicester. My message is simple - it can be summed up in one word. This one word, in fact, it is only two letters, has the potential to change the entire word. These two letters can change your life today if you are willing to apply them and take action. The word is GO! And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.” - Mark 16:15-18 This is our mandate as Christians - to GO! Watch the video below I would love to hear from you, leave me a comment below with your thoughts on this or any quest...

Awake, Arise & Go!

We kicked off King’s Daughters in June with Awake & Arise which was amazing but now it’s time to add to our battle cry with AWAKE, ARISE & GO! Tickets are £20 and include a light lunch! Church is wonderful except if it stays under a basket or inside the four walls of our church buildings. We need to get the church out into the world and one of the areas that the world needs us is the community and marketplace – our place of business. No one is excluded, whether you are in the marketplace or want to support those who are you are very welcome. It’s a difficult time that we live in and too much of our precious faith is being watered down. Let’s stand together, young and old, to get the message of the gospel into the marketplace. “The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church.” Ephesians 1:23 MSG Our day together will consist of socialising, preaching, worship, prayer and entertainment It’s a not to be missed day for all women ...

Being a Christian in Business

Previously I shared a glimpse into how my passion for business, and being a Christian in business started. Today, I would like to share a talk that I did recently to a group of Christian business men and women at Transform Work UK event. Being a Christian at work or while running a business doesn't change that fact that you still have to do the work or run the business! Everything isn't instantly easy because you are a Christian. It's not always easy finding the delicate balance between being a Christian and building a business or career. We can quickly lose focus on one or the other and keeping your eyes on Jesus no matter what you are doing in your everyday ordinary life is essential. Here is a quick summary of my talk but watch the video for more. It's For Him It's all about Jesus No matter what we do it's important to remember who we do it for. Having that perspective means that every moment in every situation is kept in perspective. If we aim to...

King's Daughters 2016 - A year of rest

King's Daughters Team This year is the 7th year since King's Daughters humble beginning - read our very first post from 2009 here . I am so pleased that this very post is still the heartbeat and mission of King's Daughters. Our deep desire is to help women know who they really are - daughters of the King! You can read a summary of our journey on the About page. After some serious prayer and discussion with the team I believe that God would have King's Daughters rest for 2016. I don't know exactly what that will look like for us but I can tell you what I do know. King's Daughters Conference We will not be having our usual annual conference in 2016 - the team will be having a break. Our conference will resume in 2017 with Awake and Arise on 10 June 2017. Girl's Nights We will be having Girl's Nights at King's Coffee Shop once a month. You are all welcome to join us if you are able to.  Events will be posted in our Facebook group. Pra...

How to find TRUE Love

7 Baby Steps to Growing and Investing Money

I had the privilege of speaking at our church again recently at a special event called Money Sunday. It was a fantastic service and we even gave money to every single person who attended and challenged them to use it in one the 7  Baby Steps to Growing Your Money.  One of my many passions is to help people live financially free.  There is nothing quite as draining as financial problems.  This talk covers the 7 basic steps that will help anyone find true financial freedom. Happy Birthday Jesus

Merry Christmas! Today is Jesus birthday so I thought it would be nice to share a little bit about what Jesus means to me and why I am so grateful that He came to the earth in human form on this special Christmas day.    In a nutshell there are two words to describe why I love Jesus.  Life and grace. Knowing Jesus has given me a new life, in fact He has kept me alive.  You can hear my story in the video below about how I nearly took my own life - several times.  I also wrote about this in great detail in my book Hope's Journey .  I am alive because He chose to die.  His death = my life! Grace, the other reason why I cannot thank Jesus enough for loving me.  I am so utterly flawed in so many ways but His grace is sufficient for me.  So no matter how many things I do wrong, it is what He did right that defines me.  Almost every day I say sorry and move on.  I no longer live in guilt and shame but I am free to be me. I know I am...

Heart 2 Heart Breakfast

Today I had to wonderful privilege of speaking at the Heart 2 Heart Ladies Breakfast in Lechlade.  It was a beautiful morning with everything perfectly set out in the stunning St Lawrence Church .  Butterflies decorated the building along with pretty flowers and the aroma of fresh coffee.  What was most beautiful about this event was the warmth of all the lovely ladies.  Below are some photos and right at the bottom is a video of the message I shared.  If you live anywhere near Lechlade I highly recommend that you connect with the lovely Heart 2 Heart Ladies. Their next ladies breakfast is on 15th June at 9am at St Lawrence Church in Lechlade. Contact Katy for more info.

All or Nothing

On Sunday I shared my heart with our church .  We had some technical difficulties, so had to switch cameras half, way but the audio is in tact.  My frustration is the state of the church in England and the amount of lost people that we are not reaching for Jesus.  I don't like preaching motivational talks to the church, I like to hit the nail on it's head with truth so I hope that as you watch this message that you will hear the truth and that the truth will set you free.  Let's get serious about what we believe in.  Let's show the lost and dying world that there is hope.  Let's be true followers of Jesus.  Watch more King's Daughters messages on our YouTube channel or listen to previous messages .

OUR BATTLE... is not against flesh and blood

Today I spoke at our church about reality.  We looked at the hard truth of John 16:33 - In this world you will have trouble and we unpacked Ephesians 6:12 - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.  Have a listen to the MP3 here or watch the video below.

Anointed for Business

I passionately believe that we have missed the whole point of the gifts of the spirit, the fivefold ministry and the church.  It seems we have built a church based on our needs and our comfort rather than on the needs of the lost and dying world around us.  It is time for the church to rise up and get out into the world again.  Recently I have had the privilege of speaking at our church about a subject.  I spoke about how we are actually anointed for business and how we need to take the church out into the business world and stop keeping the power of God hidden away in the churches.  This message is new and I hope to develop it more and tidy it up so I can share it with other churches and groups of people but for now, here is the first draft of Anointed for Business Part I and II.   I hope God speaks to you through this message and if you would like me to share it at your church please feel free to make a booking here . Guard Your Heart

The past week has been challenging!  I feel like the devil has been doing his best work to discourage me.  I guess it is his job to steal, kill and destroy and he seems to take his job very seriously too!  The King's Daughters Conference is only 45 days away and all hell has broken loose in my little world.  From past experience I have learnt that the bigger the attack the bigger the fruit and I am convinced that this year's conference is going to be bearing some pretty big fruit.  My prayer is that you are one of the blessed recipients of what God has planned for this event and that there will be much fruit in your life.  This past Sunday I preached about the importance of guarding our hearts and I used one of my struggles as an illustration.  I hope that my words are an encouragement to you as you face opposition in what God has called you to do.  Listen to the message here and then remind yourself not to worry , just as I had to :) xxx

The Tale of a Church Planter Interview

Here it is!  My MissioNexus interview  Listen to the interview here Read their thoughts on my book below More info on the book here Buy it on Amazon.co.uk | Amazon.com  The Tale of a Church Planter The ups, downs, frustrations, joys and everything in-between on the roller coaster ride of church planting. Summary The author is a married woman church planter. She and her husband recently started and developed a church together in England. Therefore, the value of this book is that it is written from a woman's point of view. Like many wives of church planters, she did not have the title of pastor, yet she functioned as one as she devoted just as much time and energy to the church start and development as her husband. Angela approaches the subject candidly, with humour and depth of understanding of what it takes to plant a church. She faces the good times joyfully and the difficult times (and there are many!) with determination and wisdom...

Moses' But

A few weeks ago a preached a message at D7 Church called Moses But!  It is all about how to unleash your potential and how to avoid giving the same excuses that Moses did.  Listen to it here .

Ascent from Darkness

A life of difficulty and disappointment set 33-year old Michael Leehan up for the worst decision of his life—to make a deal with the Devil to follow and serve him. Practicing the dark arts that include ritualistic cuttings and blood sacrifices, while fine tuning his manipulation and control skills, Michael launched into a twenty year downward spiral that included job loss and detachment from loved ones, and even jail time.  But God had another plan that included a group of Christian men to love him and pray for him—even when it became evident his assignment from Satan was to kill their pastor, Craig Groeschel. At first I was sceptical and didn't buy into the whole Satanist thing as it seemed too stereotypical with the usual burning of candles at the tips of a pentagram, killing cats and reading the book of shadows.  Perhaps many of us including myself are desensitised by TV programs such as Charmed, which I watched a lot of in my youth.  BUT, it wasn't l...

King's Daughters Live Video

Welcome to a brand new section on my blog for video posts.  I am both nervous and excited about this as videos are a lot less safe that written posts.  Never-the-less, I will feel the fear and do it anyway in the hope that somehow this will further the kingdom.  Below is my very first video from a Girl's Night that we held in Ross-on-Wye, UK last week.  Subscribe to King's Daughters on our new Youtube page .  Before you watch, please don't be too critical and have mercy on me as this is only a humble, small begining with lots of room for growth :)

Sin

Over the past few weeks it has been on my heart to speak to our church about SIN - again (do you remember the last time ?).  I can't say that I was very excited at first to bring this message and I knew that I would not be anyone's favourite preacher afterwards!  But as the days went by the conviction grew and so I did preach on sin last Sunday and will do so again this coming Sunday.    It grieves me that there is little difference between the church and the world these days.  That the divorce rate is just as high in the church as it is in the world and that things like pornography, homosexuality, materialism, gossip and other such things are commonly found in the lives of 'mature' Christians.  Mostly, it breaks my heart that so many pastors are 'falling' into sin these days too.     So what is the answer?  How can the church become a holy place again where God is respected and feared?  I don't have the answer but I do know tha...

Free

Over the past few weeks I have been preaching a series at D7 Church based on my book FREE .  My deep desire is that God uses my 'colourful' past and the freedom He has given to me, to help others find freedom too.   Do you feel like you are hiding behind masks and not being your true self?  Do you live under a cloud of shame from your past?  Is fear your constant companion?  Do you know that there is more to you and more to life than you are currently experiencing?  Free covers all these issues and so much more.   Have a read or listen to the sermon series below.  If you live in England, why not join us for one of our Girl's Nights where I will be delving into this subject some more. Buy 'Free ' here: UK , USA , AU , Kindle Listen to 'Free' here:  Part 1 , Part 2 , Part 3
