Nature's Way - Masks

There are so many weird and wonderful things that you can use to make a facial mask.  My daughters and I have had loads of fun with natural masks and also had great results.  Many chemical masks have frighteningly high risks so soaking your face with them is not a good idea.  Most masks contain dangerous substances and block your pores.  It is important to allow your skin to breathe and adding too many products can have an adverse effect.  Less is more when it comes to your skin so find a beauty regime that allows your skin to find a natural balance.
Most of the time what you put into your body has more effect that what you put onto your skin.  Eating healthy, exercising, sleeping well and drinking lots of water are the most important ingredients for the best looking skin.   After that comes a simple cleanse, tone and moisturise routine with natural ingredients.  If necessary, use a Nature’s Way mask from time to time.

The following table shows the health concerns based on commonly used chemical mask.

The best thing to help your skin get the boost it needs is a facial massage which is known to improve the circulation to your skin and will rejuvenate your face.  Here is a simple facial massage:
  1. Apply a little olive oil or facial essential oil to your face
  2. Use your finger tips fingers to massage up and outwards in a circular motion, starting from your chin.  Start small and make the circles bigger as you move to the top of your forehead.
  3. For added benefits continue your massage into your scalp as if shampooing your hair.

Nature’s Way Alternatives
If you decide that you need a mask why not try avocado for dry skin, green tea masks for sensitive skin, strawberry with yogurt for oily skin and oats with lemon for acne prone skin.  An egg white mask is suitable for all skins types.  Egg whites are high in protein which feeds your skin and as the egg dries it tightens your skin while drawing excess oil from the pores.
Eating eggs is also great for your skin as they contain selenium, vitamins A and E, folate, riboflavin, choline and lutein.  Some studies have suggested the eating eggs will smooth your skin.

Results:
•    Healthier skin
•    Removes fine lines
•    Save lots of money
•    No harmful chemicals

Cautions:
•    Don’t use a mask too often as it isn’t necessary.

There are many other simple ways to make masks using natural ingredients, here are some examples:

Avocado
Mash together the flesh of an avocado and apply to your face.  Rinse off after ten minutes.  You can also include a teaspoon of honey and a teaspoon of yogurt to your avocado for added benefits.

Strawberry
Mix equal quantities of fresh strawberries and yogurt. Apply to your face and rinse off after ten minutes.

Green Tea
Soak a green tea bag in a quarter cup of boiling water.  When cooled sufficiently soak some cotton wool with the green tea and dab it onto your face liberally.  Allow the green tea to dry naturally and don’t rinse off.
Another alternative which will need washing off after ten minutes is to mix a little oats and honey into the green tea to create a face paste.

Now it's your turn.
If you have any mask tips that work well, please share them with us.  Find out more about Nature's Way here.

For Such a Time As This

Hello King's Daughters, It's been a while since I've been in touch and King's Daughters has been very quiet, in fact totally dormant.  During this time of dormancy, a seed has been growing inside of me and it's so strong that I have to seriously consider if it's God saying "It's time".  Time to start taking back what the enemy has stolen from us. Time to fight for our families, schools, churches, communities and nation. Time to pray together and be proactive, not reactive to what is going on in the world today. Time to talk about the complex topics that our churches may not be ready to discuss openly such as gender confusion and mental health issues. Time to learn how to generate an income or second income by using what's in our hands and to have extra to be generous to the world around us as we face economic uncertainty.  Time to find balance when everyone else is consumed by busyness. I have a story to tell, a struggle I've been through t

Hope's Journey

"There was a time when all I wanted was to die but now that I have tasted life I really don’t want to die until I have truly lived!" Hope's Journey is a heart wrenching account of Angela's struggle with depression and suicide.   "This book is helpful for people that are going through tough times as well for those who are trying to support them.
