Conference Feedback

We had a beautiful day together on 8th September, thank you so much to you all for your incredible support and prayers. Feedback and testimonies have already started flooding in, have a read of some of them here. Also, keep an eye on our YouTube page as we update it with the speakers messages and conference highlight videos.

We had the stunning Instruments of Praise gospel choir lead us in worship and it was truly heavenly. We also had Daughters of Davis who absolutely blew us away with their fantastic acoustic folk/soul vibe.

Our Women in Business section was a real treat with stalls offering all sorts of beautifully displayed goods. Jill Chitty from the Entrepreneurs Circle spoke to the women in business offering practical tips for business growth. Other breakout sessions included a Hope for Justice talk by Naomi and Cynthia shared her testimony of life as a Samburu woman.

Molly Catherine Beebee from Cirencester Creative Dance Academy dazzled us with her spectacular ballet and the beautiful Tricia Bailey gave us all goosebumps when she sung her brand new single - Your Love and Grace. Tricia didn't just sing us a song, she imparted something very powerful and she did it through the most intensely beautiful, heartfelt vocals. We will definitely be featuring Tricia here on the King's Daughters blog again as soon as her single hits iTunes. You don't want to miss out on this one ladies!

A very big thank you to the D7 Men for serving us and the children all day long and to Lorah Kelly for the stunning photos.

It's not too soon to book your place for the 2013 King's Daughters INTERNATIONAL Conference. We have a bigger and better conference planned with a fantastic international menu including African curries and traditional Brazilian dishes. D7 Band are working hard on a brand new acoustic album which you will get to enjoy at the conference and CCDA are already working on a dance spectacular that will start our day with a bang! Loads more news to come, don't miss out - book your place now. www.kingsdaughtersconference.co.uk

The Tale of a Church Planter

The ups, downs, frustrations, joys and everything in-between on the roller coaster ride of church planting. I can honestly say that no recipe or formula for church building exists - God does not work in this way! D7 Church is proof of this. Not because we didn’t try, we did try just about everything. Our bookshelf is lined with books that tell you what works and what doesn’t work. Our computer is filled with files of blog posts from mega-church pastors, documents with strategy from other churches. We have attended conferences and visited other churches to try and learn about building a church.  It was only when we gave up and said so to God that we began to have breakthrough. This is our story. Nature's Way - Hair Colouring

Good news for those of you living in the EU but sadly bad news for my USA friends.  Europe is well ahead of the USA in its responses to potentially dangerous chemicals in health and beauty products. On 1st December 2007 a ban was imposed on 22 hair dye substances issued by the European Commission.  These ingredients had been linked to bladder cancer in a 2001 University of Southern California study.  Günter Verheugen, the European Commission Vice-President, said, "Substances for which there is no proof that they are safe will disappear from the market.  Our high safety standards do not only protect EU consumers, they also give legal certainty to the European cosmetics industry." The USA however, has not required manufacturers to file data on ingredients or report cosmetic-related injuries.  If you wish to find the exact 22 ingredients do an Internet search for ‘Europe Bans 22 Hair Dye Chemicals’ The most dangerous hair dye ingredients are the Arylamines chemi...
