Christians in Politics

To my brothers and sisters in Christ,

It is my conviction that God is positioning Christians in leadership positions in the nation for His purposes. Christian men and women in business, ministry and politics are rising up with the express purpose of doing the will of God.  I have been involved in all three areas but my message to you today is in the area of politics.  I firmly believe that we need Christian leaders in our government if we stand a hope of being a true Christian nation.

Just because something is the will of God doesn't mean that it will automatically happen, we must be prepared to do our part.  As far back as we can go in history, Godly men and women had to fight for the will of God. The promise land was taken on the battle field, William Wilberforce abolished the slave trade by giving his life to fighting for this cause and today we see men and women fighting for various causes such as human trafficking, poverty, etc.  It is not God's will that His children suffer through slavery, poverty and other such circumstances but He needs to find those who are willing to fight for those who cannot.  I feel the same is relevant in our current situation in the UK.  If we want to be a Christian nation we need to fight for it, it is not automatically just going to happen because it is the will of God.  I have fought this battle from the perspective of the church and more recently I have fought from the perspective of being a Christian business woman but now I am focusing my efforts on becoming a Christian politician.  Why?  Because if we don't have Christian politicians then we will not and cannot be a Christian nation for much longer.

I am writing to you to ask for your support. I cannot do this alone.  Many people have told me that I don't stand a chance of winning this election but I believe that with God nothing is impossible.  I do realise now that I cannot win it alone though. I need you.  Will you help me?

There are three ways you can help:

  1. Stay home and pray - pray that I win this election and stay true to the purposes of God.
  2. Go out into the streets with me and talk to people.  I need a team of people willing to represent me.  If you choose to do this we will meet and pray together, then I will share my vision and then we will all go house to house and share the message with the people.  I will help you every step of the way, more importantly we will rely on the Holy Spirit to give us the words to speak and favour with the people.
  3. Spread the word through social media (here is our Facebook group www.facebook.com/groups/benhallandthereddings/), email people, contact anyone you know in the area - Christian or not - and ask for their support.

I hope you hear my heart in this.  If we want to policies and practices of this nation to be in line with our faith then we need to make sure we do our part to position ourselves in places of influence in this nation.

It's not about which party we chose but about supporting the Christians who are trying to make a difference.  I prayerfully chose the Conservative Party but that does not mean than those Christians standing in other parties in other areas shouldn't be supported too.  We are all in a 'higher party' which is the kingdom of God.  So, please would you support me in the Conservative Party in the Benhall and The Reddings Ward in the 22nd May elections.

I really hope you will support me.

Love
Angela

For Such a Time As This

Hello King's Daughters, It's been a while since I've been in touch and King's Daughters has been very quiet, in fact totally dormant.  During this time of dormancy, a seed has been growing inside of me and it's so strong that I have to seriously consider if it's God saying "It's time".  Time to start taking back what the enemy has stolen from us. Time to fight for our families, schools, churches, communities and nation. Time to pray together and be proactive, not reactive to what is going on in the world today. Time to talk about the complex topics that our churches may not be ready to discuss openly such as gender confusion and mental health issues. Time to learn how to generate an income or second income by using what's in our hands and to have extra to be generous to the world around us as we face economic uncertainty.  Time to find balance when everyone else is consumed by busyness. I have a story to tell, a struggle I've been through t
