Proudly British

One of the many things that the Americans get right is their patriotism!  I often see American homes with their flags proudly hanging outside their door or hear them speak highly of their country.  It is a wonderful thing. Here in the UK I often see Brazilian flags, Polish flags and other flags from foreigners living here who are proud of the country they have come from.  NEVER have I seen a British flag displayed in front of a British person's home and all I EVER hear from locals is their complaints about this country.  COME ON PEOPLE!  The country is made up of you and I. Let's start off with being proud to be British.  Let's support local businesses.  Let's find good things to say about our country. Let's back up and support our leaders who are doing their best to do what they think is right for this nation. It is usually those that do the least that say the most.  Judge your own mouth and your own actions please. Until you are willing to step in 'their' shoes please say a lot less.

Yes I know, I have a South African accent!!!  I am grateful to South Africa for raising me but I was born right here in the UK and now the UK is my home.  I implore you, let us become proudly British.  To kick start the process please join me in displaying this logo on your website, blog, Facebook page, etc.

Now let's start sharing and support local businesses and our government.  In the posts to come we will be discussing what is good about our country and I would like to feature some of YOU.  Please email me your Proudly British story with a good quality photo and I will feature you.

See you at our next Business, Ministry and Politics event!

*** NOTE:  Being proudly British does not mean that we bash or bad mouth other nations.  That defeats the purpose entirely.  Being proudly British simply means that we point out the great things about our country - FULL STOP - not by comparison to other countries. As Christians we are called to love all no matter what their nationality.  It's sad that I even have to say this but please keep the balance to all this, if we don't have anything good to say rather say nothing at all :)

Saved by grace, a new creation, on purpose for a purpose. I am free with a future and a hope!

I've considered deleting this blog many times but can't seem to let it go for some reason. Perhaps because it contains such an important part of my life and I'm hoping that somehow my 'scribblings' can inspire and help others going through some of the things I've been through. So, I continue to hold onto it for a little longer. Tonight, 31st December 2021, I reflect on not only the year that has passed but the many years before that too. I love to look back and reflect before plotting the way forwards into a new year. So I've pulled out all my journals and as I flip through the pages I am in awe of how far I have come.  Only today I found myself chatting with Jordan about the importance of not comparing ourselves with others but without past self, and as I look back I am amazed and how far I have come. I can't help but go back to that day. The day that I hit rock bottom. I had been a Christian for 10 years at that point and yet still found myself on the

Daniel Fast - Odours, Tiredness and Pains

These are some of what can occur during a fast but don't be alarmed, it is only worse case scenario.  Many people don't go through all of this so don't worry.  This info is merely so that you understand what is happening in your body and that you don't become concerned if some of these symptoms present themselves. Odours, tiredness, dizziness, headaches and other pains - these are some of the things that you will face during your fast.  As you continue to fast you body will begin to cleanse itself and eliminate toxins.  These toxins will come out of your body wherever they can which will mean that you might sweat more and your sweat will have a stronger smell than usual.  You breath will also be stronger than usual and so will you urine smell.  You may even get a funny taste in your mouth or feel that your tongue has a thick coat on it.  It sounds nasty, but for a while you will face unpleasant odours from your body, so brush well with a natural toothpaste (as you don
