Conference Feedback

We had a beautiful day together on 8th September, thank you so much to you all for your incredible support and prayers. Feedback and testimonies have already started flooding in, have a read of some of them here . Also, keep an eye on our YouTube page as we update it with the speakers messages and conference highlight videos. We had the stunning Instruments of Praise gospel choir lead us in worship and it was truly heavenly. We also had Daughters of Davis who absolutely blew us away with their fantastic acoustic folk/soul vibe. Our Women in Business section was a real treat with stalls offering all sorts of beautifully displayed goods. Jill Chitty from the Entrepreneurs Circle spoke to the women in business offering practical tips for business growth. Other breakout sessions included a Hope for Justice talk by Naomi and Cynthia shared her testimony of life as a Samburu woman . Molly Catherine Beebee from Cirencester Creative Dance Academy dazzled us with

Daughters of Davis, Tricia Bailey, D7 Band, Ballet

The King's Daughters Conference is extremely excited about welcoming UK's loveliest girl duo to our stage, Daughters of Davis . The band consists of the two sisters, Adrienne and Fern Davis, who write music with an acoustic folk/soul vibe. Adrienne plays acoustic guitar with vocals that are "gritty and soulful" and Fern incorporates percussion and provides a vocal performance reminiscent of 60's soul, but with a clear and powerful, new folk twist. Get your ticket here and if you can't make it during the day why not join us for an evening celebration with Daughters of Davis, Tricia Bailey who will be unveiling her debut single, Your Love and Grace and D7 Band followed by an awesome message.  The evening ticket is £10 with entrance from 5pm - get your ticket here . And if that wasn't enough to wow you - we also have the lovely Molly Catherine Beebee from Cirencester Creative Dance Academy   doing a beautiful classical ballet for us.   In the mea

King's Daughters Conference 2012

I can't believe a year has gone by and it's that time again.  It feels like just yesterday that I was writing about how the King's Daughters Conference was conceived and here I am again counting down the final 5 days to our second event.  The 2012 conference is so much bigger and so much better than last year's one .  I am bursting with excitement about all that we have planned and can't wait to be writing another blog post to you soon with feedback and photos.  I highly recommend that you subscribe to our new YouTube channel so you can be the first to see all the media after the conference.  There is not much for me to say right now as I am way too nervous and excited.  If you haven't already got your ticket please do so at www.kingsdaughtersconference.co.uk and if you live too far away to join us don't worry as next year's event is international, we will come to you via your computer screen .  Exciting times ahead!

D7 Men - Real Men Still Exist

I am bowled over by the quality of the men we have in our church .  My wonderful husband, Eric, has been running D7 Men for two years and the results are astounding.  D7 Men are high calibre Godly men who have courage and strength.  They face every day challenges like any other man but they don't shrink back.  Together, they are overcoming addictions, bad habits and other life difficulties.  Accountability and the direct application of the Bible to their lives are the keys to their success.  D7 Men refuse to accept things the way they are.  D7 Men will be serving King's Daughters at our upcoming conference - girls you are in for a treat.  You will have the finest men in all of England tending to your every need.  They will make you feel like the princess that you are. And if that isn't enough, the super amazing D7 Men are putting their hands deep into their pockets and sponsoring some of the ladies who can't afford to attend the conference.  Isn't that in

Guard Your Heart

The past week has been challenging!  I feel like the devil has been doing his best work to discourage me.  I guess it is his job to steal, kill and destroy and he seems to take his job very seriously too!  The King's Daughters Conference is only 45 days away and all hell has broken loose in my little world.  From past experience I have learnt that the bigger the attack the bigger the fruit and I am convinced that this year's conference is going to be bearing some pretty big fruit.  My prayer is that you are one of the blessed recipients of what God has planned for this event and that there will be much fruit in your life.  This past Sunday I preached about the importance of guarding our hearts and I used one of my struggles as an illustration.  I hope that my words are an encouragement to you as you face opposition in what God has called you to do.  Listen to the message here and then remind yourself not to worry , just as I had to :) xxx

World Wide News #3

An exciting look at what can happen when a woman places her ordinary life into the hands of an extraordinary God!   " Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. " - Ephesians 3:20-21 ........................................................................................................................   King's Daughters Uganda  On 7th July King's Daughters Uganda had a very successful outreach meeting with the young girls at a Gaba Parents High School. Here is Caroline's feedback: " I was accompanied by 5 women who helped me to carryout the outreach and as a result 2 girls gave their lives to Christ. One of them is a Muslim. We talked about the LOVE of Christ and love for one another and to my amazement one girl said she had a misunderstanding with her friend but th

Prayer Warriors Needed

God is doing amazing things in and through King's Daughters all over the world.  Not only is this year's conference going to be amazing but next year's one is going international !  If we really want to see something amazing unleashed through us girls we will need to pray for it!  Prayer moves mountains, reaches across seas and brings His kingdom to earth as it is in heaven.    I would like to invite you become a King's Daughters Prayer Warrior.  We need people who will commit to praying at least once a week for all that is happening in King's Daughters and preferably with two or more believers. Each week we will post a list of prayer requests and each member is free to post praise reports as they come in.  It is a wonderful opportunity for you to partner with King's Daughters.  If you would like to join the prayer team please request to join the group here . Most of all, if you haven't yet got your conference ticket please buy it now . Love

2011 Highlights

After having a very long season of rest I am more than ready to get stuck into 2012.  2011 was wonderful, stressful and tiring.  Lessons were learnt, personal character was challenged and I found myself stretched in many ways.  King's Daughters has grown from a blog into a Girl's Night and then into a conference! Looking ahead I can see that there is much more to come and I am more prepared for and excited by the challenges than ever before.  I would love you and/or your church to join us on our King's Daughters journey in 2012, we will be getting stuck into Being a Wife as well as much more. Flower care: fact or fiction?

There are many theories and old wives tales about the best ways to care for cut flowers, so I thought I would share some awesome info with you from Bunches .  Bunches provided us with the lovely chocolates that we had in our gift bags at the King's Daughters Conference recently, which was very kind of them.  All Bunches bouquets come complete with a flower care leaflet. For more flower care tips, visit their flower care page . 'Adding sugar or a copper coin to the vase water is the best way to keep your flowers fresh' – Fiction. It's best to use flower food as it contains the correct PH balance which prevents bacteria from growing. Liquid flower food is provided with every Bunches bouquet. 'Fresh flowers should be kept away from the fruit bowl' – Fact. Fruit produces ethylene gas which significantly speeds up the flower aging process. 'Putting Rose stems in boiling water for a minute before arranging helps them stay fresh' – Fact. Holding t

Conference Eve

It is the eve of the conference that I have been planning and carrying inside my spirit since January.  Yes, I truly have been pregnant with this conference and tomorrow is my due date!  Literally nine months.  So I thought it would be fun to share a little bit of my journey with you. January  First Trimester (1 to 12 weeks) It was unplanned! I had no intention of getting "pregnant" and I most certainly wasn't trying to - it just happened. I sat considering the year ahead and felt that this was the year to focus on building something for the women. Until this point I had never felt the time was right, but now, on this day, it felt right. So I opened my heart and wrote down a few ideas on my blog . I started off with a Girls Night ! It seemed like a fun idea and didn't look like too much work. The focus was very specifically to disciple and care for the girls in our church . It was not to be a time of outward focus and reaching out to the lost, this was very mu

Fanny Adams

Meet Jane, one of our King's Daughters Conference speakers.  Jane has an incredible story which she will share at our conference, but she also has an incredible business which provides ethical fashion .  Jane creates unique clothing from second hand items which she then 'modifies' using vintage fabric trims and buttons.  She stared out by simply making customised clothing, bags and hats for herself.  Fr iends and even passers-by in the street, would stop her and ask where she had bought her gorgeous bags or clothes. Many enquiries and many orders later she started cardigan parties where she would show off and sell her latest designs. One thing led to another, which led to her making 300 hand trimmed cardigans for none other than Cath Kidston . Jane has since opened a fantastic shop in the gorgeous village of Blagdon where she sells the best organic, fair trade coffee in England along with her creative jacket and cardigan designs. Her shop also

How to Find Your Personal Style

Hi girls, Angela has asked me to do a guest blog of wardrobe tips ahead of King’s Daughters Conference 2011 . The plan for the day sounds so amazing I can’t wait to meet you all and I’m looking forward to talking about ‘ On Beauty, Body And Clothes ’. The work I do is all based around introducing girls and women to Jesus, to His unconditional love and all He has done for us. Among other things, that has included me dealing with subjects like beauty and clothes because they are connected to the way we feel about ourselves which has everything to do with us knowing Jesus. But more about that at the conference…! In the mean time, I wanted to tell you a little bit about the session I will be running during the dinner break: HOW TO FIND YOUR PERSONAL STYLE . I believe that because we are all unique, each of us has an individual style – our own taste and way of putting clothes and accessories together. I don’t believe that any one person’s style is better that another person’s. I
